The Type C-3 vest in Seal Brown Horsehide with sheepskin lining. The horsehide is substantial but still fairly supple, the sheepskin is buttery soft. This is your ultimate winter layer made to age graciously.
The mouton has been has not been dyed to keep its natural golden color and trimmed to 12mm thickness. This creates a supple vest ideal for layering, but also warm enough to wear it over a sweater or flannel shirt.
After the adoption of B-3, TYPE C-3 was adopted in 1936 for the purpose of layering in the extremely cold heavy zone. It was provided to be worn as an inner layer of the B-3 flight jacket. By making the trimming a piping specification with leather, It has a structure that prevents the hair from sticking out, and has increased strength.
